Quaint cafe with homemade options.
A great breakfast stop! We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere on the small outdoor patio. A great vantage point to enjoy Patricia street. The decor on the inside was somewhat confusing and disconnected though. Food wise everything was fresh, made-to-order and delicious. Check it out. You won’t regret it!
MoreIt was great ! The only Mexican place in town. Now is closed for good , there is a new Mexican food restaurant in summer tho ,Very AMAZING TOO is called , ALK VILLAGE RESTAURANT.
MoreA little pricey but the food was excellent!
Nice atmosphere whether coffee by day or mexican by night
I've enjoyed this cafe for over ten years!
Friendly staff, good atmosphere, tasty food. A must stop.
Cookies and coffee weren't very good - I will be exploring other options next time I'm in town.
MoreOk, so Google Maps shows this place as a Mexican restaurant. And when you get in you still may be fooled seeing Mexican flags and sombreros. But that's about it - there's nothing Mexican in the menu, just pizza, pita, salads and some sandwiches. Coffe is good, though.
MoreLarge portions that taste great and are pretty cheap!
There was sombreros on the wall, Italian flag hanging up, but was playing country music. Didn’t really know what was going on. My latte was effectively a cappuccino but it came in what I’d describe as a beer glass. Food was ok. But little over priced for what I had. Service was good though. The ladies are rather nice.
MoreAmazing breakfast and coffee. Had a croissant toastie with tomato (amazing), and some pita wraps with a chai latte and some americanos. Everything was really good, service was great. Everyone loved what they were having. They have a lot of small to bigger options available, and veggie options. You can sit in or take out.The menu is extensive, I would love to try their other options next time.
MoreThey do soya milk and coffee was brilliant
Atmosphere was great, staff was friendly, service. My soy latte was barely worthy of the name. There was a heap if foam on top, there was no consistency, and all I can taste was soy milk- the beverage was slightly brown, indicating the present of espresso, but I cannot for the life of me taste it.
MoreGreat food, delicious cookies, amazing coffee! The staff is super friendly here as well. Great decorations around the place makes it enjoyable to be in.
MoreDelicious food! Amazing atmosphere No wifi?
This is a nice place to have a good café, cappuccino was great. I also loved the wall decor.
MoreNo table service so please order at the back counter and an ultra chic, Hyper-entitled “know it all” hipster just might bring your order out to you and mumble “ENJOY” without the slightest idea of what she’s talking about.Food is tasty.
MoreI'm currently enjoying an iced cafe mocha which is so good, I had to go back inside to tell them. Plus, water bowls for dogs. I'll be back
MoreGreat place great food friendly people
Virtually empty but we were ignored by staff on their phones until we asked to be served. Strange as it states it's an no wifi zone..
MoreHot chocolate was terrible. Coffee was nothing special both overpriced. Confusing place. Before 5pm it's a no-internet cafe... after it becomes this Mexican restaurant that turns away incoming cafe customers and awkwardly stares at the remaining cafe customers. Although the tacos Did smell amazing.
MoreWent on a hike from the Whistler''s campground to the town of Jasper and made it to the best cafe in town. Superb service and delicious food.
MoreNice place for coffee. Good place for a quick breakfast.
Tried the cerviche along with the special a little over a week ago. The best Mexican food I've ever tasted. Figured out how to make the delicious fruit salad: watermelon, oranges, pears, mango, lime juice and a few sprinkles of tajin seasoning. The owner was awesome enough to show us a bottle of tajin and I had to buy some as soon as I got back home! Will definitely go here next time I'm in Jasper, cant wait to try some more things here.
MoreSmall portions for the price - but fair quality of food.We ordered an assortment of the tacos ($4 each). The shrimp and fish ones were delicious (small - but for 4$ it was exactly as expected and a nice snack). The waitress was a delight! (Kat)My friend however ordered the vegetarian taco and soup and both were a disappointment. The vegetarian taco only had sauces in it...no actual veggies. The soup (tortilla soup) was cold and bland. However the waitress took 50% off the soup cost because of that (even though we didn't mention anything - she asked us if the soup was okay when it was the only thing unfinished)Overall, great snack food and good service but would stay away from those two options.
MoreThe iced mocha was the best my husband has ever had!
Bought three cappuccino for nearly 23$ and two of them were scalding hot to the point of burning. Took around 20 min with no line up.
MoreSmall place with a big taste, Very satisfied with the service and the quality of the food. Highly recommend that you stop by and dine.
MoreThis is the most untasty Mexican food I have ever had. The price is pretty high in comparison of the small quantity served. Definetely not worth the money.
MoreI had my first El Mundo experience this morning, and wow! The cappuccino was fantastic, beautifully made and it was a divine start to breakfast. It was followed with the Belgian waffle, which came with syrup and butter as well as a small bowl of chopped fruit. I cannot describe how delicious and satisfying the waffle was, it was the perfect amount of sweet without becoming overbearing. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere in the cafe is bright, and cozy without being too claustrophobic.
MoreThis place has incredible coffee. I stayed for a while and tried 4 different kinds, all were top notch. The breakfast wrap was also very good, with caramelized cheese and slightly spicy sausage. The interior left a lot to be desired, though. It was also unclear that you had to walk to the very back to order at first.
MoreHad a PROPER cappuccino. Was wonderful. Breakfasts coming out of the kitchen sure looked good. Wish we wouldn't have eaten before we found this place.
MoreNice spot for a quick bite to eat, with good service and selection of food. Marked as pet friendly, meaning that there is limited outdoor seating. Pets are not allowed inside, as is to be expected.
MoreI enjoy a stop at mondo when I'm driving through jasper. Its Often busy, (I see this as a sign of a great product) but they alway find a spot for me with healthy food and tasty drink. Keep doing what your doing. Your doing great
MoreExcellent in-house baked pita! Perfect for lunch with several vegetarian and vegan pitas plus the usual meaty pita wraps. Everything looked fresh and delicious here.
MoreI would give less than one star if I could. They screwed up our order and when we finally got the right stuff, it was disgusting. The sandwich was just pure lettuce with raw onions and a tiny bit of meat. The drinks were very unflavorful and actually quite awful. Also, for two sandwiches and two drinks it was $40. WAY OVERPRICED. Also the person we were with ordered pizza and it was disgusting as well. I wouldn't go here again if I was paid to....
MoreReal good Authentic mexican food A must see
Love Cafe Mondo! The atmosphere is great; the service is great; the food is wonderful. We eat there several times each time we visit, and recommend it to everyone.
MoreHad a great breakfast and dinner here, gotta check this place out
Good for at a high price. Tasty dishes that are somewhat small for a unexpectedly high price. Delicious though and cannot complain. Their coffee is delicious as well!
MoreFood is mediocre, much better places to eat nearby. Some of it seems healthy but when you get the meal there are extra ingredients or sweetened things that they don't tell you about. Like the coconut on the soup, why use sweetened coconut shavings? Now I feel like I'm eating dessert on top of a curry. Also the pita pizzas taste like Lunchables.
MoreCafe Mundo is a breath of Mexican fresh air, perfect for kicking back and replenishing your glutes after a day of shredding the gnar. House made salsas, hearty tacos and tostadas, and some burly-looking cookies that took a lot of self-control to ignore. Muy bueno, cinco estrellas.
MoreNot sure what was worse, food or service.. When we told the waitress/manager that food did NOT have any taste at all - Not even salt, instead of trying to fix the problem, she said it was really good and since she knew the recipe they used, it Was Us and not the food. She also audaciously asked us if we had been to Mexico. When we said yes, she said she had been there 8 times and food over the tastes exactly like cafe Mondo's. For someone in hospitality business, she was extremely Rude. Also, food is way overpriced. I would give it zero stars if I could. Worst Mexican food ever and absolutely no sense of service.
MoreNice little cafe. Coffee was good, as were the sandwiches and cakes. Free iced water available. Plenty of seating inside and limited outside space. I had a smoked turkey sandwich which was tasty. Range of soft drinks, including Orangina and San Pellegrino flavored cans.
Moredelicious food. totally didn't click in our heads that it's a Mexican theme so the sausages were a little overwhelmingly spicy. not a bad thing but just unexpected. the coffee is incredible and the fruits nice and fresh. Was a little disappointed that mayo wasn't listed on the breakfast sandwich on the menu but again, not a bad thing per say just unexpected.Would definitely recommend, but make sure to expect mexican and also you have to go to the back of the store to order.
MoreDelicious food and friendly staff!
Cafe that closes and switches to Mexican for the dinner hours -- only was there for dinner, can't comment to what it's like the rest of the day. Sides, especially the rice and refried beans, are almost inedibly bland and come in small portion sizes for the price. Street tacos and fajitas are decent, but nothing to write home about. $4 deal on individual tacos on Sundays is reasonable.
MoreDelicious food, reasonably priced. Spectacular pita, garlic toast and gorgeous baklava. Well worth a visit.
